We offer pre-season conditioning or Summer Camp. Dogs that are soft and too out of shape to hunt need conditioning. There is nothing worse than the dogs quiting on you.... when you just got started. Happens every year and every year you vow to do some thing about it before next year. Everyone is busy and getting your bird dog in shape for season just slips by and before you know it season is here. 

They need......

We take the individual dog and get the dog on a diet that will take the weight off but not starvation. Over weight dogs won't hunt long! Ten extra pounds on a fifty pound dog is whole lot of extra weight. In comparison that would be like a two hundred pound man weighing two fifty. And it is easy for a dog to be ten pounds heavy.

Most dogs do not have a way to keep themselves busy enough to stay in shape. An outing here and there does not build any muscle. Dogs that hunt all day have muscles that are conditioned to activity. They need more than an occasional outing. Most dogs never get enough exercize to build any stamina. The exercize needs to be ongoing and consistent. Stamina will develop with muscle development... 

Dogs also need to be polished up on their birds befor season. Especially young dogs.Re-establish/establish pointing and holding a point. Shoot some birds for 'em. We recommend sixty days.

Get your dog in shape....before next season!
